The 1-month vinjeta suits longer holidays, a work stint in Slovenia, or repeated short trips across the border over the course of several weeks - for example if you're based just outside Slovenia and drive in and out regularly, or you're touring the wider region and pass back through the country more than once. It's more expensive than the weekly option but works out cheaper than buying several weekly vignettes back to back.
How long is the 1-month vinjeta valid?
Like the weekly and annual options, the monthly e-vinjeta is registered against your license plate rather than displayed as a sticker. It gives roughly 30 days of continuous coverage from the start date you choose, so you don't need to pause or interrupt your driving during that window - it covers every day within the period, however many times you use the motorway network.
When might a different duration suit you better?
If your trip is really just a week or less, the weekly vinjeta will almost always be cheaper - there's no need to pay for a full month you won't use. Conversely, if you find yourself buying a new monthly vinjeta every few weeks throughout the year - as a regular commuter, seasonal worker, or frequent visitor - it's worth checking whether the annual vinjeta would work out cheaper overall.
