Information about Slovenian electronic vignettes

Which vehicles require a Slovenian e-vignette?

A Slovenian e-vignette is mandatory on all motorways (A) and on most expressways (H) for motor vehicles with a maximum technically permissible mass of up to 3.5 t. Unlike in the neighbouring countries, motorcycles are not exempt here – they fall into category 1. Passenger cars and other vehicles up to 3.5 t are divided into categories 2A and 2B according to the height of the vehicle above the front axle: up to 1.3 m is category 2A, above 1.3 m is category 2B. A trailer or caravan does not need a vignette of its own. Vehicles over 3.5 t are subject to the DarsGo electronic tolling system.

What should you know before buying a Slovenian e-vignette?

For passenger cars and other vehicles in categories 2A and 2B, Slovenian e-vignettes are available for 7 days, 1 month or 1 year. Motorcycles have different periods: 7 days, 6 months or 1 year – a monthly vignette is not offered for them. The e-vignette can be purchased up to 30 days before the start of its validity, and you choose the start date yourself.

Slovenia does not offer a one-day e-vignette – the shortest validity period is seven days. If you are only planning to transit or to spend a single day there, you will need the seven-day vignette. The annual vignette is not tied to the calendar year and is valid for 12 months from the selected start date. The e-vignette does not cover every charge in Slovenia: the journey through the Karawanks Tunnel on the A2 motorway, for example, is paid separately.

Validity check and expiry reminders

You can check the validity of your Slovenian e-vignette online at any time by entering the vehicle registration number and the country of registration. During the ordering process, you can also set up an email reminder to notify you before the vignette expires. This gives you enough time to arrange a new vignette.

Wide range of payment methods

Choose the payment method that suits you best. We support card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, QR code payments and popular local payment methods, such as BLIK or online banking with Tatra banka. All payments are processed in a secure payment environment.

Registration confirmation by email

After your order has been successfully completed, you will receive a payment confirmation by email. Once your Slovenian e-vignette has been registered, you will also receive a registration confirmation by email. We recommend keeping both confirmations for future reference or to verify your order if needed.
